DFW AIRPORT (CBSDFW.COM) - Millions of dollars in counterfeit Apple products have been seized in North Texas.

The shipment originated in China and contained one specific item.

"These were cell phone cases that were being imported into the Dallas area," U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokeswoman Yolanda Choates explained.

The major operation began after U.S. Customs agents were tipped off in June.

"We intercepted 281 cartons that contained cell phone cases that included a paper insert that infringed on the Apple Inc. trademark," said Choates. ""The importer would ship these cases out and a consumer would look at the case and see the Apple logo and just assume that it was an Apple product."

According to Choates, the shipment was seized on July 18 and had a value of more than $4 million.

The cases were made to fit several different model of cell phone, including Apple and Samsung.

So far, no arrests have been made.
