2 People Hurt In Dallas Nightclub Shooting

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Two people were injured and two suspects were taken into custody after a shooting, police chase and car crash in northwest Dallas early Friday morning. According to police, the incident began just after 3:00 a.m. when gunfire erupted outside of the 8-Ball Reunion Club, located near the intersection of Northwest Highway and Harry Hines Boulevard.

The nightclub's parking lot is said to be a popular gathering place where people hang out throughout the night.

Two people were struck during the shooting and a suspect vehicle -- a green Jaguar sedan -- fled from the scene. Police spotted the vehicle and gave chase until the suspects crashed their car not far away from the crime scene, at the intersection of Spangler Road and Manana Drive. Both suspects were taken into custody at the crash site. According to authorities, they were tossing items from the vehicle as they drove away. Those items were recovered and will be used as evidence.

The two shooting victims were taken to a local hospital and both are expected to recover.

There has been no word on a motive for the attack, but police believe it started with an argument inside the Kalua Club, located just around the corner from the crime scene.
