DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Dallas are looking for as many as four suspects after a double shooting early Monday. It happened at around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Interstate-30 and Buckner Boulevard.
Authorities said that shots were fired in a 7-Eleven parking lot. Some of the bullets struck the wall of the convenience store. So many other bullet casings were found on the ground that police stated that the scene looked like a shootout.
The situation started with a big crowd of people in the parking lot between the store and a next-door Whataburger restaurant. A fight broke out and one of the people started shooting. Two men were hit by the gunfire and taken to Baylor Medical Center at Dallas. Their injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
One of the victims ran to a nearby Sam's Club before collapsing to the ground, making this a very large crime scene.
The crowd scattered after the shooting, and police are now looking for a vehicle seen leaving the parking lot and the suspected shooters. Officials stated that as many as four people might have been firing shots throughout this ordeal. There have not been any arrests at this time.
Both the convenience store and the restaurant were open at the time of the shooting, and police said that it is amazing that no other bystanders were also injured. There were customers inside of both locations.
