Two Dead In Separate Traffic Accidents

Grand Prairie averages one traffic fatality per month this year. Yesterday, they had two in less than four hours. Mid-afternoon Sunday, an Arlington man was riding his Harley northbound on Lake Ridge near Joe Poole Lake. Jerry Riddle lost control and fell off the motorcycle, striking his head on the guardrail.  Police say he was not wearing a helmet. Then, about 6:30 p.m. a Honda Civic crashed into a light pole on Great Southwest Parkway near Pioneer Parkway.  DeSoto resident Brad Gray was not wearing a seat-belt and died at the scene. With those two crashes, twelve people have died on Grand Prairie streets this year.
