In surveillance video, Hernandez is seen interacting in a brawl between Balderas and an unknown woman, according to the affidavit. The fight escalated, and a witness became involved in the altercation, too. The unidentified man made contact with the witness, and then Hernandez "displayed a handgun and walked up to the unknown Latin male complainant and shot him," the affidavit said.

Then, Hernandez shot Martinez, police said. After that, Hernandez separated Balderas from the unknown female and shot Balderas, according to the affidavit.

The witness identified Hernandez as the shooter based on a still photo.

Hernandez is at Dallas County Jail and will face capital murder charges.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office hasn't made an official, positive identification on the third male victim.

ORIGINAL POST: Three people young people were shot and killed, according to Dallas police, in the Oak Lawn area Sunday morning. Police received the call before dawn at 5 a.m. at Hawthorne and Maple avenues. The area is a mix residential/retail area with several restaurants nearby.

Police have not released the victim's names but family members confirmed to CBS 11 that 27-year-old Francisco Martinez, his 22-year-old girlfriend and her brother were killed.

"It's devastating because he was a very loving father. He has two kids. We just don't understand why and how this happened. All we want is if they find the killers just make justice - this is very hard for us," said Martinez's cousin Maria Carlos.

Police said the shooting happened after Martinez's girlfriend fought another woman inside the San Francisco night club. Their argument spilled out into the parking lot, according to witnesses, and a group of men tried to break it up. That's when someone walked up, shot Martinez, his girlfriend and her brother.

The incident was caught on camera, police said. The video shows the suspect return seconds later, shooting one of the victims mercilessly a second time.

Police have not released the video yet and are still interviewing witnesses in what they are calling a "cold, calculated and deliberate" crime.
