Toronto Acquires Defender Jeremy Hall From Dallas

TORONTO, ON (AP) - Toronto FC acquired defender Jeremy Hall from FC Dallas on Tuesday in exchange for a second-round selection in Major League Soccer's 2013 SuperDraft.

The 23-year-old Hall made 21 league appearances last season for Dallas and the Portland Timbers.

"We're happy to add Jeremy Hall to our club. He is a solid defender with excellent MLS experience," said Toronto FC coach and technical director Aron Winter. "Defense is one of the areas that we want to address this offseason and acquiring Jeremy is a positive step forward for our club."

Hall started his career with Red Bull New York and played 37 matches over two seasons with the club. He joined Portland via trade after the 2010 season, and joined Dallas during the 2011 season via trade.

Overall, Hall has played in 58 MLS games, 50 of which were starts, and tallied five assists.
