Tony Romo On 'Disliked Athletes' List

Dallas Cowboys v Atlanta Falcons

NEW YORK (CBS SPORTS) - Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick are among the most disliked players in the NFL, according to a Forbes list of the 10 most disliked athletes in America.

Out of those three, Cutler is the most disliked. Cutler's reputation took a big hit after the 2011 NFC Championship, and things haven't got much better since. Cutler was the highest (or lowest, depending on your point of view) ranked NFL player on the most disliked list, coming in at No. 4. Vick ranked No. 7 while Romo checked in at No. 10.

The No. 7 ranking was actually an improvement for Vick, who topped the list last year. While there seems to be a clear reason for fans disliking Vick and a reasonable explanation for why fans dislike Cutler, it's hard to pinpoint why Romo made the list. Dallas fans might be bitter that Romo has never led the Cowboys past the divisional round of the playoffs, and they might not like his 1-3 postseason record, but that doesn't exactly explain why the rest of the country dislikes him.

Here's the entire list from Forbes:

  1. Lance Armstrong
  2. Manti Te'o
  3. Tiger Woods
  4. Jay Cutler
  5. Metta World Peace
  6. Alex Rodriguez
  7. Michael Vick
  8. Kurt Busch
  9. Kobe Bryant
  10. Tony Romo
