Tollway Vote Could Be Worth Millions To North Texas Counties
The North Texas Tollway Authority board is scheduled to vote Wednesday on a route for the latest extension to the Dallas North Tollway. One plan would put the lanes in Denton County, a second in Collin County. A third would split the road with the lanes straddling the county border. The Tollway Authority says it's a fight over economic development, even though it will be years before they break ground.
The county judges for both Collin and Denton Counties are scheduled to make their pitch Wednesday.
