DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The search is still on late Sunday night for two men accused of stealing a car in Dallas while a one-year-old girl was still in the back seat.
Police say around 10:15 a.m. Sunday, the mother left her daughter in the car while it was still running so she could go into a 7-11 at Buckner and Elam.
Authorities say the two men drove off in the woman's 2010 tan Toyota Corolla.
Luckily for the mother, police say 20 minutes later, a witness called authorities to say she saw someone leave the little girl in her car seat in a nearby park.
She wasn't hurt, and police quickly reunited her with her mother.
Authorities say they haven't filed charges against the woman.
As for the suspects, police say once caught, they could face charges of kidnapping, abandoning and endangering a child, aside from unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Police say there's still no sign of the car.
One thing detectives do have is surveillance video from the gas station, but we haven't seen it yet.
