Tip Leads To Seagoville Preteen Recovery

SEAGOVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) -  Seagoville Police found a preteen who has been missing since Friday morning.

According to police Mariah Nicole Allen was recovered at a residence in unincorporated Dallas County 1:00 a.m Sunday.

She was with a former boyfriend and his family. Mariah was not harmed.

Witnesses last saw Mariah Allen in her school uniform in Seagoville when she left to catch the school bus Friday morning. The next time anyone saw her was on a surveillance camera at a 7-11 and she wasn't in her school uniform.

Allen was seen by herself buying a soft drink at the store just after 8:30 am, Friday wearing a red tank top and blue jeans.

Police were able to locate Mariah after someone reached out with a tip. After seeing Mariah's picture, a woman believed she saw Mariah with a young teen inside a Dallas business.

The woman then reached out to family through a missing persons blog. Mariah's mother read a description of the young male seen with Mariah, and then sent photos of the Mariah's former boyfriend to the woman who sent in the tip.

The woman confirmed that it was indeed the same person she saw Mariah with early. Mariah's mother then, called Seagoville Police and gave them the address to the residence of the former boyfriend.

Police then drove to the residence and recovered Mariah. An investigation continues into the circumstances behind Mariah leaving home and Child Protective Services has been contacted.
