KOSSE (AP) - Investigators say a tip has led to the discovery of nearly 6,000 marijuana plants in a heavily wooded area of Central Texas.

The Robertson County Sheriff's Office on Thursday announced officers from several agencies were working to inventory and destroy the plants, worth nearly $3 million. Bulldozers were being used to help clear the site.

Investigator Karen Box says six fields were discovered after the search began Tuesday in northeast Robertson County, leading to an area near Kosse, which is east of Waco, in Limestone County.

Box says tubing, pumps and a generator were used to deliver water to the plots. An empty campsite was also found.

Officials didn't immediately announce any arrests.
