Tickets Required This Year For Addison's Kaboom Town

ADDISON (CBSDFW.COM) - Admission is still free, but for the first time you will need a ticket to get into Addison's annual fireworks event, Kaboom Town.

Ticket reservations for the event, which takes place on June 3, can be made online by clicking here.  Only those holding tickets will be guaranteed admission to Addison Circle Park.  A maximum of four tickets can be secured per reservation.

Tens of thousands of people crowd into Addison's Circle Park to see what's been called one of the country's best fireworks displays.  Reader's Digest, Yahoo, and PR Web all named Kaboom Town to their lists of most spectacular 4th of July fireworks for 2013.   Two years ago, the event snagged top honors from Forbes Magazine, Travel Channel and Bing.

Kaboom Town attendees often line up well in advance to gain entry to the event.  This year's reserved ticket system will give attendees peace of mind that they will get in.  Gates were used at last year's event for the first time, and because of large crowds, the gates were closed about a half hour before it began.

Remember, small coolers are allowed (no larger than 16x20x12), but are subject to search, as well as all bags and totes.  A list of banned items can be found at AddisonTexas.net.

Also new for this year, more Addison restaurants have been added to the event (Arezzo, Bacci's, BJ's, The Hub, Lion & Crown, Polk-A-Dot Bakery ) as well as carnival rides.

The schedule for this year's event is below:

Thursday, July 3, 2014 (all times are approximate)

5:00 – 9:00 p.m. - Live entertainment on the Dos Equis Main Stage, games in Family Fun Zone
7:00 pm – Addison Airport Airshow
9:30 pm – Fireworks show
10:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. – After Party on the Dos Equis Main Stage
