ARLINGTON (105.3 The Fan) - Adrian Beltre (3B), Mitch Moreland (1B) and Jonathan Lucroy (C) have been announced as finalists for the gold glove award at their respective positions, Rawlings announced Thursday. Beltre has won the award four times, while Lucroy and Moreland have never won the award.

The gold glove is voted on by managers and coaches around the league, though they are prohibited from voting for their own players. Gold Glove winners will be announced Nov. 8.

Beltre is among the leaders in the American League in multiple categories: double plays turned (2nd), assists (2nd),  putouts (3rd), total zone runs (1st) and range factor (2nd). Beltre is up against Seattle's Kyle Seager and Baltimore's Manny Machado.

*Lucroy's numbers for the season are solid as well: base runners caught stealing (1st), stolen bases allowed (2nd) total zone runs (2nd), double plays turned (tied for 1st) and assists (3rd). The catcher was acquired by the Rangers at the trade deadline from the Milwaukee Brewers, however, he's still up for the gold glove award in the National League. Lucroy has some stiff competition in the race. Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina has won the award every year since 2008, while the Giants' Buster Posey has been nominated multiple times.

Mitch Moreland had the best fielding percentage (.998) among American League First Baseman in 2016. He's up against three-time winner Eric Hosmer of the Royals and Orioles' first-baseman Chris Davis.

* Lucroy's statistics are compared against all catchers in MLB.
