Thousands Visit Festive City Lights Kickoff In Dallas
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The formal arrival of the holiday season transformed the center of downtown into a boulevard of bold colors and a mass of smiling families Saturday.
Something festive was afoot on Main Street, even 10-year-old Darrielle Clark knew that.
"When I usually come down here, it's not like this at all," she said.
Saturday's City Lights kickoff festival featured the holiday window dressings of the landmark Neiman Marcus. Santa Claus – sans reindeer – arrived, festively waving to the thousands who lined the street.
"It's amazing," said Plano resident Irene Ramirez. "It's a spectacular sight to see."
