Thousands Lose Power After North Texas Storms

DALLAS (AP) - Crews worked to restore power to thousands of homes and businesses that have lost electricity due to Texas storms.

Dallas-based Oncor reports more than 13,000 customers without electricity Monday.

The utility says nearly 10,000 of the outages were reported in the Dallas area following thunderstorms Sunday night. Power outages were also reported in southern and eastern parts of the state.

The storm dumped hail the size of golf balls in Dallas. Scattered storm damage includes downed power lines and trees losing branches.
