This Week: Zayn Malik Leave One Direction & Angelina Jolie's Smart Move

This week, a boy band member is now heading in another direction and one of the queens of Hollywood made a smart move for her own health.

1. Another Direction

The unspeakable has happened! The infamously popular boy band One Direction lost one of its members when bandmate Zayne Malik quit this week. The band posted the news on their Facebook page sending fans into a fit.

Some speculated that Malik's resignation from the group was provoked by rumors that he cheated on his fiancé. However, Malik has only said that "after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band."

One Direction will continue to tour without Malik, and on its most recent tour date without Malik in Indonesia fellow bandmate Harry Styles reportedly broke down and cried on stage.

It's okay Harry, from the looks of it, the paycheck from the spike in Spotify listens should ease your pain a bit.

2. Better Safe Than Sorry

Angelina Jolie announced her brave move to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed in an effort to minimize the chances that she'd develop ovarian cancer, the same disease that killed her mother. Almost two years ago, Jolie also underwent a double mastectomy to curb her chances of breast cancer.

While it may seem a little too preventative, Jolie carries a specific gene mutation that makes her vulnerable to developing the two diseases, and with a huge family to care for, Jolie believed it was the right choice for her and her families future.

Kudos to you Angelina!

3. Swift Business

News that Taylor Swift bought a couple of porn site domain names is both strange and smart. The Grammy winner bought up TaylorSwift.porn and TaylorSwift.adult before anybody could use them for anything X-rated.

The cost? A mere $2,500!

4. She's Back!

Rihanna's Navy can finally rejoice now that the "Four Five Seconds" singer has dropped her first single off her upcoming, untitled album. Entitled "B---- Better Have My Money," the new single was first previewed on Rihanna's twitter account before she released the full song. The release of the song has already sparked some rumors of an upcoming, secret album release.

5. Corden Conquers

It's only been a week, but "Late Late Show" host James Corden is doing phenomenally with his recent takeover of the late-night talker. In its first full week Corden managed to pull out some major A-listers like Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep as well as poke some fun at social media. From the looks of this, Corden should do just fine in his new position.
