Thieves Targeting SUV's Third Seat
Drivers of SUVs are again being warned about thieves who are stealing third row seats.
It's been a problem in North Dallas and other areas in months past, and now the owner of a Chevy Tahoe who lives in the Kessler Park area of Dallas has found out the hard way that his third row seat is a hot commodity. Scott McKinney walked out of his driveway and found the broken glass all over and his third seat missing. McKinney says GM doesn't manufacture replacements for sale, and the thieves know it. The seats can sell for more than a thousand dollars a piece, and sure enough, McKinney found a tan leather back row seat posted for sale on eBay that he says could easily be his, so he may end up having to buy back the seats that were stolen out of his 2008 Tahoe. So far, no arrests.
