Thief Or Thieves Strike Women's Shelter Again

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (CBS11) – A North Richland Hills women's shelter has fallen victim to four burglaries in the last month. The most recent happened this week.
The staff at the Battered Women's Foundation in North Richland Hills say the break-ins began around the July Fourth holiday.
In each instance they say whoever is doing this is taking food and supplies intended for the children of battered women.
"It's kind of heartbreaking because they would take from women and children who are suffering from domestic violence," said Melissa Duvall, the Executive Director of BWF.
North Richland Hills Police say they have no leads and no arrests but they continue to investigate.
A couple of surveillance picture provided by the shelter show a woman they believe may be linked to at least one of the burglaries.
North Richland Hills Police say they are hoping to identify the woman in the picture in hopes of determining what role if any she has in the string of burglaries.
"It's very hard," said Duvall. "Everything that we do get is donated items or we get them from the food bank."
Duvall says they are hoping to get some much-needed donation in the coming days so that they can provide the resources to woman and children as they prepare to go back to school.
