The Haunted Hill House In Mineral Wells

There are haunted houses for amusement, and then there are houses that are haunted. I found the real deal in Mineral Wells, just down the street from the creepy and abandoned Baker Hotel. As you drive up N.E. 1st Street, the white house on the hill is spooky even during the daylight hours.
"When we bought the house we had no idea that it was haunted. I wasn't involved in the paranormal at that point. The neighbors all started talking about it, they started telling us stories" said the owner of The Haunted Hill House Phil Kirchhoff.
The house at 501 N.E. 1st Street was built in 1890 by Fanny Yeager Kyle and she lived there until she passed away in 1924. In 1928 the fourteen story, 450 guest room, Baker Hotel began construction just up the street.
Eventually the Hill House would become a brothel for wealthy visitors to the Baker Hotel, who came from far and wide for the healing waters from the mineral wells. One of the ladies of the night had a boy child and he lived and died in the house.
"One of the main ghosts that haunt the house, his name is Joshua. He was a little boy, he stays here, he died at six" Kirchhoff added.
In my hour inside the Haunted Hill House I heard noises and knocks that could not be explained. We also saw a ball, placed on the floor, move on its own as we asked for confirmation of a spiritual presence.
"It's not uncommon to have people come here about 8 O'clock and by 10:30 they are running out the door gone!" Kirchhoff noted.
Every Saturday night in October you can join with a professional ghost investigation team to explore the house.
"They allow people to come in and it gives them an opportunity to go sit in on an investigation with an experience paranormal investigator" remarked Kirchhoff.
