THE COLONY (CBSDFW.COM) - "My wife will finally be at peace."

That was the reaction The Colony police chief said Nabaraj Siwakoti had when investigators informed him they had arrested the man they believed murdered his wife.

19-year-old Deon Kingston Jr. was arrested on a charge of capital murder in the shooting death of Samira Siwakoti. She was shot and killed, according to police, by Kingston shortly after he robbed her at the Rapido convenience store.

Siwakoti and her husband owned the store on Main Street in The Colony.

The Colony Police Chief David Coulon said an anonymous tip lead them to a home in Frisco where the suspect, Kingston, was staying.

As police moved in on its suspect, Kingston fled the home but was apprehended a short time later while hiding nearby in the neighborhood.

Coulon said there are other "persons of interest" in the robbery and they expect several other arrests in the next couple weeks. Kingston also faces an aggravated robbery charge for another convenience store robbery last month in Frisco.

The Colony police said Kingston may also be linked to an armed robbery at a Cash-N-Go on Main Street in The Colony just days before the murder. Hearing about the arrest, several of Siwakoti's customers stopped by the convenience store to share their well wishes for the family. "I am relieved for the family," said Dale Yarbro.

Local businesses are organizing fundraisers to help the Siwakoti family.

Meanwhile, Coulon said The Colony Police have been stepping up patrols particularly on Main Street, "If someone walks into a convenience store with a towel on his head or a jacket on in the middle summer, call us right then. That's when the police want to get notified, Coulon said.
