Weather Alert Day Today
We have issued a WEATHER ALERT DAY. The radar is showing light showers tracking N across portions of the area.
We will be under a *FLASH FLOOD WATCH* later this afternoon that will run though Sunday evening. Expect widespread rain/storms this afternoon/evening.
The counties out west will be under a *SLIGHT RISK* of severe weather. Main threats include: flash flooding, gusts up to 60 mph, golf ball size hail and an isolated tornado.
FutureSky shows the showers developing (out of the S) and increasing by 2pm.
A line of strong-severe storms will pop up out of the west early this evening. They will track east into our area.
Tonight the rain/storms will continue, not just for the Metroplex but for all of us.
Expect 1''-3'' of widespread rain with pockets of 6'' accumulating.
We dry out briefly Tuesday afternoon but the rain returns late next week.
