The @CBSDFW Storm Team Blog: One cold front this weekend, stronger one next week

There is some indication that a good September cold front could arrive next week.  That would knock temperatures into the 80s for highs late next week.  Until then it will remain hot despite some rain chances this weekend.

First Cold Front Arrives Saturday:  A weak cold front will arrive on Saturday and bring a 30% chance of rain on Saturday.  That front is draped across the Northern Plains here on Thursday.

The cooler air behind the front will stay in the Midwest.  So temperatures this weekend will only ease into the mid to low 90s.  Rain chances will be relatively low, so no wash-out for the weekend, but some scattered rain possible.
