The Anchor Mom: Pregnant or Breastfeeding? You Need This App!

Many pregnant women and nursing moms spend hours scouring the internet to find out if the medicine they are taking or have been prescribed is safe for their baby.  The Infant Risk Center at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center now makes that search quick and easy.  It has released an Android and iPhone application that does the work for you.  Texas Tech's Dr. Tom Hale talked to me about it...

This version of the app -- since it's primarily for healthcare professionals -- will run you about 30 dollars.  You can wait for the mom app, which will be significantly cheaper (if not free), or you can call the Infant Risk Hotline for free.  That number, again, is (806)-352-2519, and experts will take your calls between 8 am and 5 pm CT, Monday through Friday.
