Texas Residents Missing After Tornadoes Found Safe

GRANBURY (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Authorities say residents who were missing in the wake of this week's destructive tornadoes in North Texas have been found safe.

The Hood County Sheriff's Office said Friday that the death toll from the violent storm system Wednesday night remains at six and is unlikely to change. Authorities initially said seven people were missing, but everyone has been accounted for.

Hood County sheriff's spokesman Nathan Stringer says authorities were focusing Friday on the particularly hard-hit Rancho Brazos Estates and DeCordova Ranch neighborhoods in Granbury where most of the homes were damaged or destroyed.

Stringer says it's unclear when residents will be allowed back into the neighborhood to survey the damage, but said an informational meeting for residents will be held Saturday morning.
