Texas Loses A Round To The EPA
AUSTIN (CBSDFW.COM) - A Washington DC federal court rules against an emergency order stopping the EPA from taking over part of the air pollution permitting program in Texas.
Attorney General Greg Abbott says he isn't surprised the DC Federal Court denied Texas emergency relief that would have put an immediate halt to the EPA taking over greenhouse gas permitting in Texas. He says however this setback doesn't stop the real fight. "What this means is that we go through the ordinary course of presenting our case which we feel very strong about."
Abbott says ultimately he thinks the state will win this fight and keep control of this part of its air pollution permitting program.
