Texas Family Dies In Plane Crash

SPRING BRANCH (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — A Texas Hill Country man, his wife and their two children died when a plane they were flying crashed next to a feed store shortly after takeoff.
The Comal County Sheriff's Office identified the dead as 38-year-old pilot Michael Scott Galloway of Spring Branch, his 32-year-old wife Heather Louise Galloway, their 10-year-old son Clayton T. Galloway and their 8-year-old daughter Cheyenne Elizabeth Galloway.

The Federal Aviation Administration reports the single-engine Piper PA-24 aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Kestrel Air Park in Spring Branch about 12:30pm Saturday.

Sheriff's Capt. Tommy Ward says the plane crashed into a grassy area next to a feed store parking lot. No injuries or damage was reported on the ground.
Spring Branch is about four hours south of Dallas.
