Texas Facing 'Must Win' Just To Get Bowl Bid
AUSTIN (AP) - Looking back at the wreckage of his season, Texas coach Mack Brown says he'd like to start over.
Brown thinks he could fix the things that have gone wrong in the Longhorns' worst season in 13 years.
But Brown can't do that and he's got just a few days to get ready for rival No. 17 Texas A&M. The Longhorns (5-6, 2-5 Big 12) must win Thanksgiving night just to become bowl-eligible a season after playing for the national championship.
The Aggies (8-3, 5-2) are fighting for just their second nine-win season since 1998 and could become the latest victor on the "Beat Texas Tour," which made Austin its favorite stop.
