Tasha's To Do List: Feb. 12-16

DALLAS (KRLD) -- Happy Valentine's Day weekend North Texas! There are plenty of options if you're looking to celebrate with that special someone. And if you're looking to avoid the festivities all together, KRLD's Tasha Stevens has you covered.

-- Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band will be in north Texas Thursday night at the AAC in support of his new studio album, Ride Out.

-- If the Beatles are more your thing, the Beatles Tribute "Rain" is for you. This is more than just tunes. Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles is a live multi-media spectacular that takes you on a musical journey through the life and times of the world's most celebrated band. See it Thursday night at the Verizon.

-- This German guitarist rocked us in the early years of The Scorpions and later created some pretty awesome guitars. See guitarist Uli Jon Roth at Trees Thursday night.

-- This band's lead singer performed on the GRAMMYs the other night with Gwen Stefani. See Adam Levine and Maroon 5 at the AAC this Monday night, Feb. 16.

-- Now through Saturday, you can show a sweet furry baby what love is all about. The Operation Kindness Furry Valentine Week means $25 off all adoptions. That is extra money you can spend on cool doggie treats.

-- This Sunday at Pinot's Palette, you can make your pup into a masterpiece with DFW Rescue ME's "Painting for Pups". You'll also be helping a great cause -- $10 from every reservation goes to DFW Rescue Me.

-- I can't think of anything more romantic for Valentine's Day than running from zombies! Twisted Love at Cutting Edge Haunted House in Fort Worth Friday and Saturday will offer a 'jilted zombie' theme with monsters dressed in prom and wedding attire. Add to it the fact that the deal is located in a 100-year-old abandoned meatpacking plant in a section of Fort Worth known as "Hell's Half Acre" -- you can't go wrong.

-- Dark Hour Haunted House is offering a cool alternative to the usual Valentine's Day festivities. The Love is Blind event this weekend means you will be making your way through the hallways of horror with only a glow stick to guide you. Then come Sunday…they will have the Singled Out event which will have you making your way through sans date. Singular. Alone.

-- If you are still trying to figure out what to do this Valentine's Day, here is an idea. Hearts in the Park at Klyde Warren Park is happening from noon to 9:30 pm Saturday. From noon to 4, they will have stuff for the entire family. Then from 6:30 to 9:30, it is all about the adults.

-- While you are downtown, check out a little Reunion Tower Romance. They'll have three different packages ranging from light hors d'oeuvres to a chocolate gift package by Wolfgang Puck Catering to a carriage ride for two around the Lawn at Reunion.

-- If you are trying to plan the ultimate Valentine's Day experience -- or do something more than buying something at the gas station -- check out Texas Discovery Gardens' Romantic Gardens Walk and Love is in the Air event. The day entails a romantic walk at Fair Park Saturday at 11 a.m., ending in time for the butterfly release. "Love is in the Air" takes place that evening. From 6 to 8 p.m., you can stroll through the Butterfly House as the sun sets and release ladybugs with your special someone. My favorite part: Food. You'll have hors d'oeuvres featuring chocolate-covered insects.

-- Here is a totally awesome way to celebrate Valentine's Day -- even though this crowd would not have been caught dead saying "totally awesome" back in the day. It is an 80's Hair Metal Prom at none other than the Double Wide on Commerce Street in downtown Dallas. This is a low dough show so your favorite bands won't be there, but their doppelgangers will be. You'll see Rock and Roll Over (Kiss tribute), Hysteria (Def Leppard tribute) and Glam Hammer (80s hits.)

-- Now if food is more your gig when it comes to celebrating, check out this Saturday's Dallas by Chocolate Dallas Bites Tour. The Valentine's Day Chocolate Cravings Tour will be from 1 to 4:30 p.m.; Three Wineries Valentine's Tour from 1 to 4:30 p.m.; Toast to Valentine's Tour from 5:30 to 9 p.m.; and the Valentine's Ultimate Evening from 6 to 10:30 p.m.

-- Celebrate the day of love Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a Valentine's Cruise on Grapevine Lake. They have everything covered -- live music, comedy, dancing and a three-course meal during a two-hour cruise.

-- Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons are playing Winstar Friday night. They say it is sold out, but I'd head up there anyway. You know everybody who bought a ticket won't show up, so maybe you can snag a seat. You still have time to buy Air Supply tickets, though. They'll be at Winstar April 25.

-- Red dirt Texas country hottie Jack Ingram is playing Billy Bob's Friday night. And be sure to make another trip to Billy Bob's Saturday night for the tight pants wearing wonder that is Dwight Yokum.

-- You can spend an awesome Valentine's Day in your sweats on the couch thanks to EPIX. Their Whole Lotta Love Valentine's Day Saturday will have a sampling of all your favorite romantic flicks. See Pretty in Pink, Moonstruck, Breakfast at Tiffany's and many others.

-- This show is a must see. Spend Valentine's Day with the guys we chicks wanted to date and you guys wanted to be back in the 80's. This Saturday at the Oil Palace in Tyler, Texas, it's Brett Michaels, Winger, Warrant, and Firehouse.
