The Magic of Christmas Light Show Spectacular runs through January 8 in Grapevine.

Check out the Vitruvian Lights Display this weekend through January 1st at Vitruvian Park. Millions of sparkling LED Lights are wrapped around more than 550 trees.

Prairie Lights at Lynn Creek Park runs through January 1. 4 million lights set along 2 miles of path. Hundreds of ALL-NEW displays in shapes of all kinds line and arch over the roads. Half way through the drive get out of your car for a stop at Holiday Village where you will find food, gifts, Santa, the all-new indoor laser show, and the Holiday Magic Lighted Walk-Through Forest. Once back in your vehicle, the second half of the drive ends with the very animated light tunnel – the perfect finale to a night you will never forget!

The Farmer's Branch Tour of Lights runs through December 30 at Farmers Branch Historical Park. Millions of twinkling, festive lights beckon thousands of visitors throughout the season to come to the Farmers Branch Christmas Tour of Lights, now through December 30.

The Gift of Lights at Texas Motor Speedway runs through December 30. Check out the two-mile drive of light displays throughout the speedway. This year's "Gift of Lights" is bigger and better than ever. During the drive, guests will enjoy more than 150 new light displays and more than a million more LED lights than last year, bringing the total of LED lights to three million.

Experience Christmas at the White House through January 8 at the George Bush Presidential Library.

ICE! 2016 Featuring Santa Claus is Coming to Town is at the Gaylord Texan now through January 1. Learn how Santa Claus started giving toys to good girls and boys in the retelling of the classic television special, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town. Our ice sculptures and ice slides are fun for the whole family and part of Lone Star Christmas events at Gaylord Texan Resort.

Football-sized gems, show-stopping birds that strut their stuff, dry ice, liquid nitrogen, acorn dissecting, dancing corn and "blubber" gloves are among the Perot Museum of Nature and Science's festive lineup of holiday happenings. This holiday season, check out the groundbreaking Birds of Paradise exhibition, the Giant Gems of the Smithsonian and their holiday happenings including extreme 3D films, a "winter wonderland" sleepover, free cocoa with any dessert purchase in the Café (Dec. 1-31), Discovery Camps, special activities and family programming, plus extended hours during the Thanksgiving and winter breaks (at select times).

Check out Santa and his Elves at 470 feet at Reunion Tower through Christmas Eve. Santa and his elves are spreading holiday cheer with weekly trips to the GeO-Deck. Guests can enjoy photos with Santa, a balloon artist and tasty treats from Cloud Nine Café!

You can Wreck the Halls at Dark Hour Haunted House this weekend (12/16) and each weekend through December 31.

Reindeer Manor is celebrating the holidays this Friday and Saturday night (12/16-17).

The Randy Rogers Band is playing Billy Bob's Friday and Saturday night (12/16-17).

I've seen these things for sale in the adult clothing section at Target and Walmart…and honestly…they disturbed me. If you are cool with adults wearing onesies that look like animals…Henderson Tap House is having a "onesie" party Saturday night (12/17). I am soooo glad I am not single.

There is a Winter Bird Count at Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center at Cedar Hill Saturday December 17. Learn about the longest-running citizen science project in the world. Enjoy free use of binoculars, instruction, crafts and games; plus, hot cocoa will be available for purchase.

You can also join the Wild Earth Action Team at the Dallas Zoo to help save birds as they also participate in the annual Christmas Bird Count, Saturday, Dec. 17. Christmas Bird Count is the oldest citizen science initiative in the world with tens of thousands of people participating. The Dallas Count Circle was established in 1954 and last year participants counted 109 bird species in the full circle.
