Tailgate Fan's Top 5 College Tailgates You Should Visit
By Alex Darcey
Just like a kid on Christmas Eve, myself and other football fans are full of anticipation for the commencement of this season of college football. Nothing says the fall like football, meat and tailgating. Although it's only July, I need to satisfy that immense pigskin hunger, so I've put together a list of the top five tailgates we visited last season on Tailgate Fan College Edition, all of which you should experience on your own!
So here are the top five college tailgates you need to visit.
#5. Syracuse
Every single student at the University comes out on Saturdays to support the Orange & Blue, you can find them spread throughout the campus or in a massive sea at fraternity and sorority parties.
#4. Georgia vs. Florida
Also known as "The Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party." Enough said.
#3. South Carolina
Three words: "The Cockaboose Railroad." Twenty furnished railroad cars lined up on old rails outside Williams-Brice Stadium equipped with everything you would need for a perfect tailgate party, including a rooftop deck. Think of it as a party thrown by Jay Gatsby.
#2. LSU
Plenty of RV's, tricked out buses, and gumbo! Oh, and make sure you checkout all the crazies partying like it's their last day at LSU down at the "Indian Mound."
#1. Ole Miss
A must on your college football tailgate bucket list. At the epicenter of all the partying, "The Grove", where you can find thousands of loyal Rebel supporters, pretty ladies, and a village of tents packed full of bros donning the red blazer and blue bowtie.
