SWAT Called After Man Pulls Gun On Girlfriend
GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) – An early morning domestic dispute in Garland ended with SWAT taking a barricaded man into custody.
Garland police received a disturbance with a weapon involved call in the 300 block of Joyce Drive shortly after 4:50 a.m.
Responding officers learned that a heated argument between Ignacio Valdez Estrada, 50, of Garland and his girlfriend turned up a notch when Estrada brandished a gun.
His 23-year-old girlfriend, Ana L. Jaimes, took off in her car as he shot at it multiple times. Bullets struck Jaimes' car but she was not hurt.
Estrada was transported to Garland Jail and was charged with Aggravated Assault/Deadly Weapon and has a $25,000 bond.
