Suspect Shoots At FBI During Hunt County Raid
QUINLAN (CBSDFW.COM) - An early-morning FBI raid on a house in Northeast Texas ends with the suspects shooting at federal agents.
The FBI surrounded a home in the Hunt County town of Quinlan around 6:30 Thursday morning. Agents were reportedly looking for a pair of bank robbers.
The Greenville Herald-Banner reports at one point one of the suspects shot at the agents. The agents returned fire and wounded one of the suspect, who was taken to a local hospital. The second suspect was booked into the Hunt County Jail.
The FBI confirms a shooting incident team is being called in from Washington to investigate the shooting.
A second officer-involved shooting occurred nearby roughly an hour before the FBI incident Thursday morning. An officer shot a suspect after exchanging fire while serving a narcotics warrant near Lake Tawakoni. The suspect was taken by air ambulance to a Plano hospital.
The two incidents are not believed to be related.
