FORT WORTH (AP) — A man already jailed on a murder charge in the death of a West Texas woman has now been charged with the slayings of three people at a Fort Worth home last year.
A warrant accuses Billy Ray "Tank" Minkley Jr. of capital murder in the June 2, 2014, deaths of 57-year-old Ronney Jackson, his 47-year-old common-law wife Elizabeth Bernard Sessums and their 50-year-old friend David Adams. An affidavit says the 42-year-old suspect had lived with Jackson and Sessums and killed them in a property dispute. Minkley had told his father that he shot the three in self-defense.
Minkley was already in Young County Jail in Graham, about 80 miles northwest of Fort Worth. There, he's charged with capital murder in the death of 22-year-old Leah Martin of Graford.
