MILDLOTHIAN (CBS11) - Midlothian police are hoping surveillance video will help track down the suspect who they say killed Terri "Missy" Bevers, a mother of three and popular fitness instructor inside a church early Monday morning.

The surveillance video shows the killer wearing police tactical gear such as a vest and helmet as he or she roamed the hallways of Creekside Church of Christ around 4:00 a.m.

Authorities say Bevers arrived shortly before her 5:00 a.m. Camp Gladiators fitness class and that some of her students discovered her unresponsive.

Police say the suspect assaulted Bevers, but won't specify how, then left.

She had signs of trauma on her body.

Chad Tucker, Bevers' brother-in-law said, "She was a very loving mother of three, loved her husband very much and were a great family. We're sad to lose her."

Bevers' family say she had a passion for fitness and became a Camp Gladiator instructor about a year ago.

"She was an amazing woman," said Tucker.  "She worked very hard not only for her our fitness, but to help other people get the lifestyle they needed, wanted."

Police say the suspect busted a window on the side of the church and that this may have been a burglary.

But they say there were no signs anything was missing.

This is the first murder in Midlothian in seven years and Tucker says, "There is no reason for what happened."

Bevers' family say her three children are being as strong as they can, and so is her husband, who went on his annual fishing trip the day before.

Tucker says, "He's being strong, he has to for his daughters and his friends."

Many of Bevers friends and clients stopped by the family's home Monday afternoon.

"We've had several people come by and talk about her and how she changed her life, and we're thankful for everyone coming by," Tucker said.
