Summer Sun To Decide Price Of Baylor Tickets
WACO (CBS SPORTS.COM) - Following its first bowl appearance in 17 years there's been a bit more excitement over Baylor football this offseason then in years past.
As you would expect, the school is hoping to build on this excitement by being able to sell more season tickets to games at Floyd Casey Stadium. While sales have been "brisk" thus far, Baylor has come up with a new promotion to turn up the heat on sales.
Baylor has decided that whatever the high temperature is on Independence Day in Waco, that will be the price for season ticket plans the following week.
"While season ticket sales have been brisk, we believe this Independence Day promotion will be attractive to many of our fans who have not yet purchased tickets," said Baylor's Executive Associate A.D./External Affairs Nick Joos. "Even if Waco were to record a new high for the 4th, fans would be looking at saving nearly 30 percent off the cost of our Super Fan ticket. Of course, if we were to get a break from the hot weather we've had the last month, that discount would give fans an even lower price point at which to purchase season tickets."
As of the publishing of this post, the National Weather Service predicts a high of 103 degrees on Monday July 4th. Which is hot, but $103 isn't a terrible price for season tickets. Especially when you consider that TCU, Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma will all be making the visit to Waco this season.
