Stormy Daniels' Lawyer Working For 2 Immigrant Kids In NY
NEW YORK (AP) — Attorney Michael Avenatti says he is working to reunite two Honduran girls with the parents they were separated from at the U.S. border.
The lawyer best known for representing the adult film actress Stormy Daniels held a news conference Wednesday outside a foster care center in New York City that has been looking after the girls.
Avenatti said he and another attorney are trying to connect the girls with their father, who is out of immigration detention but isn't allowed to leave Texas. Their mother is still being detained.
The lawyer said he was initially not allowed to visit the girls Wednesday but was later assured he would be able to see them.
Under a court injunction, the government was ordered to reunite separated immigrant families by the end of July.
