Storms Knock Out Power Across DFW

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) - Utility officials said that about 15,000 homes and businesses in North Texas are still without electricity after a series of overnight storms. This number is down significantly from the 32,000 that had originally lost power.

Oncor said that most of the electric outages happened in the Dallas area. Crews have been working throughout Wednesday to restore power.

Some street flooding was reported in the DFW area, where a severe thunderstorm watch expired early Wednesday. The National Weather Service expects to see sunny skies in the Dallas area later Wednesday.
