Stephenville Police Investigate Armed Robberies
STEPHENVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Stephenville are investigating a series of four armed robberies that have happened within the past week, two of them in the same day and three of them along the same street. The same two men are suspected in each of the crimes.
The first robbery took place at about 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night at Lilli Food, located in the 1100 block of West Washington Street. The second and third robberies then both occurred on Monday afternoon -- one at about 1:00 p.m. at Advance America Cash Advance in the 2200 block of West Washington Street and the other at about 1:25 p.m. at Taylor Petroleum in the 1900 block of West Washington Street. The most recent crime was at a Dollar General store in the 100 block of Morgan Mill Road, at about 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday night.
Police described the two suspects as black males driving a newer model Ford Mustang with white stripes on the roof and hood. Surveillance cameras captured their photographs during the second robbery. The men are considered armed and dangerous. Officials warn citizens to keep a safe distance from the suspects and call 911 immediately if the men or their vehicle are spotted.
