Steals & Deals: September 17
FORT WORTH (CBS 11 NEWS) - We can't save you calories, but we can save you money. If you're craving for sweets, "Steals And Deals" has some money saving deals on cookies and cakes.
Nestle Toll House Cafe is offering a deal that combines charity and a free cookie. "It is an exceptional deal," says Shawnon Bellah, Senior VP of Global Operations.
Proceeds from the money raised go to 'Cookies for Kids Cancer' which raises money for cancer research.
"If you donate $1 you receive a dollar coupon back to use on your next visit," says Bellah. "And, actually we even have 75-cent cookies on Tuesdays from 2 pm-5 pm."
It is a nationwide program. The company hopes to raise over $50,000.
Over in Fort Worth, CC's Cupcake Heaven has a deal you can't refuse. It is through Groupon.
"We do 4-pack, that's normally 10 dollars. It's 6 dollars on the Groupon," says owner David McCraken. "You also got the choice to do two 4-packs, which is normally 20 but you get it for 12."
The deal is valid for both their location. One in the Ridgmar Mall and the other at the North East Mall in Hurst.
Finally in Mesquite, "Sweet Genius Treats" is offering a cookie deal through Yelp.
Spend $10 to get a $20 worth of goodies.
You can choose from specialty cookies like the Chocolate Chip Candied Bacon and Strawberry Lemonade.
