Stars Activate Sawada, Assign Him To AHL

DALLAS (AP) The Dallas Stars have activated right wing Raymond Sawada from injured reserve and assigned him to the Texas Stars of the AHL.

Sawada had missed nine games with a shoulder injury before the move Friday. He was hurt Feb. 3 at Boston on an illegal check by Daniel Paille, who was suspended four games for the hit.

It was in the same fight-marred loss at Boston that Krys Barch and Adam Burish both suffered facial injuries in separate fights. Barch and Burish were activated from injured reserve earlier this week after missing eight games.

Sawada has seven goals and 10 assists in 36 games for the Texas Stars this season. He had one goal in 11 games for Dallas.
