Southwest Jet To Dallas Safely Returns To Austin
AUSTIN (AP) -- A Southwest Airlines jet bound for Dallas has safely returned to Austin after reports of smoke in the cabin.
No injuries were reported as Southwest Flight 4625 returned to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport just minutes after takeoff Sunday night.
A statement Monday from Dallas-based Southwest says the plane, with 27 passengers a five-person crew, taxied to the gate and was taken out of service for inspection.
Authorities are trying to determine what caused the smoke aboard the Boeing 737. No fire was reported.
Passengers were booked on another Southwest flight.
