Southwest Airlines Opening Crew Quarters In Denver
DENVER (AP) - Southwest Airlines Inc. is opening a new pilot crew base and flight attendant crew base at Denver International Airport.
The facilities will bring about 250 pilots and at least 400 flight attendants to Denver, while providing an office for employees to get briefings and to learn about changes in policies and schedules.
The airline says the pilot crew base will open in October and the flight attendant base will open later this year.
Southwest began service to Denver in 2006 and operates 159 daily nonstop flights to 51 destinations from the city.
Additional Southwest crew bases are located at Baltimore/Washington, Chicago Midway, Houston, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Oakland, Calif., Orlando, Fla., and at the airline's headquarters in Dallas.
