SOUTHLAKE — A crash, caused by a wrong-way driver, led to an altercation and a shooting along Southlake Boulevard on Friday morning, according to Southlake police.

The Southlake police department posted on social media that the accident happened between Carroll Avenue and Central Avenue, near the Central Market grocery store.

Officers said no one was injured in the shooting and that one suspect had been taken into custody.

The suspect has been identified as Sean Wallace Jordon, 19, of Colleyville. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Other charges could be forthcoming, Southlake police said in a news release.

In surveillance video from a nearby jewelry store, you can hear someone yell, "he's got a gun, he's got a gun" moments before what sounds like close to a dozen shots are fired. You can see people running and dirt coming up from where the bullets were hitting the ground.

According to Southlake police, Jordon – identified as the wrong-way driver – grabbed a rifle from his vehicle and began firing at another driver and the officer.

"The officer returned fire, discharging his duty weapon in defense of the other driver and himself," Southlake police said. "Thankfully, neither the officer nor the other driver was injured during the exchange."
