Shots Fired At Dallas Police Officer On Patrol
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Officers are on edge this morning after shots were fired at a Dallas police officer that was out on patrol early Thursday.
Dallas Police say the shooting happened shortly after 2:00 a.m. Thursday along I-30 near Cesar Chavez Blvd.
At least three shots were fired, damaging the patrol car. The passenger side door and window were hit.
The officer was not injured by gunfire, but was transported to the hospital to be checked out after being hit by broken glass.
officers responded to the location of the shooting and were unable to locate a suspect.
