DALLAS (CBS11 SPORTS) - Trotting the globe since 1926, the Harlem Globetrotters bring good will everywhere they go.
This weekend they make a stop at American Airlines Center in Dallas, as part of their 90 year anniversary tour.
We took two of the players, "Buckets" Blakes and "TNT" Maddox , to a Tom Thumb grocery story in Dallas to show shoppers their stuff.
Blakes and Maddox walked the aisles spinning the ball of a box of cookies, bananas, and even a crab leg and encouraging shoppers to give it a try.
Maddox says, "we just enjoy bringing a smile to the faces of people from all walks of life."
Blakes says the Globetrotters message spreads way beyond basketball…. even tackling subjects such as a bullying, and childhood obesity.
When Blakes and Maddox were introduced to Witten's Luckys Stars, the cereal named after Cowboys tight-end Jason Witten, Blakes jokingly said "the whole team should've eaten a box of those."
