Shop Pops Up In Allen For Nonprofits
ALLEN (CBSDFW.COM) - A new boutique opened in Allen today and you can find discounts of 70 percent off retail there.
ACO Boutique is a pop up resale store offering gently used and even some new items at Waters Creek Mall in Allen. Furniture, home décor even designer jeans are all offered at huge discounts.
All the items in the store were donated from families and even businesses around the local area. So shoppers may find great deals, like designer lamps for just $39. But the best part is not what they get, but that 100 percent of proceeds goes to the Allen Community Outreach.
Del Herrod with Allen Community Outreach shared with CBS 11 how the money helps. "We provide financial assistance to families in Fairview, Allen and Lucas. There's tags around the store that will tell you if you buy this item you just fed a family of four for a week or paid someone's utility bill, or even better you kept them in their home for a month. So it stays right here local."
His advice for shoppers is come in often, they will be restocking this store every day for the next month but then it's gone.
