Shooting Suspect In DeSoto Triple Homicide Dies

DESOTO (CBSDFW.COM) - The man suspected of shooting and killing three people in DeSoto last week is dead.

According to police, after kicking in the door of the house, Alomonzo Henderson barged in, shot his ex-girlfriend, her younger sister's boyfriend and her stepfather.

After shooting Autumn Carey, 22-year-old Adrian Jesse and the elder Gerald Malone, Henderson shot himself.

The 26-year-old suspect was alive when he was transported to a local hospital, but doctors took him off life support Sunday.

"Yesterday the shooter, Mr. Henderson I believe, was pronounced dead. He had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head," confirmed DeSoto police Captain Ron Smith.

Friends say Carey had recently broken off a relationship with Henderson.

Chatting with a childhood friend on Facebook two weeks ago, Carey reportedly confessed that Henderson could be violent and had threatened to commit suicide if she left him.

"I'm not wrried (sic) about him hurting hisself (sic) but worried that he might hurt me," she wrote to Paul Carroll, according to a transcript of the conversation he provided to CBS 11 News. "… just in case I thought (sic) my daughter how to call 911."

There were other people inside the home at the time of the shooting, both adults and children, but they all managed to escape and took safety at a neighbor's home.
