Shooting Outside JV Football Game In Fort Worth Ends Game Early

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A fight in the parking lot of a junior varsity football game between Eastern Hills High School and Dunbar High School led to a shooting according to Fort Worth ISD.
The 18-year-old who was shot is a graduate of Dunbar High and according to police, as he started to drive away, someone fired a shot and the bullet struck him in the hip.
The victim is in good condition with a minor injury after being taken to JPS Hospital by MedStar.
The school district says the suspects took off.
Students from Eastern Hills High were immediately put back on their bus and left.
The Dunbar students went back into the school for a short time and were then released.
The game ended during the third quarter due to the shooting.
Fort Worth Police said it had extra officers on campus because of the bitter rivalry between the two schools.
