Shooting At House In Dallas Leaves 1 Dead

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police received an early morning call about a shooting and possible victim lying in the yard.
When officers arrived at the house in the 1300 block of East Kiest Boulevard, near the Dallas Zoo, they searched the area and found an injured female in the backyard. An ambulance was called and the woman was taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center in critical condition.
As officers secured the area, a man and woman drove up to the house and after some discussion the man was taken into custody. No word on if the man is a person of interest or is expected to be charged. The woman in the vehicle with the man was questioned at the scene.
The victim, who is believed to have been shot in the head, died at the hospital. Her identity has not been released.
Police say they are still investigating the incident.
