Sheriff: Woman Made Sexual Advances Toward Man, Then Stabbed Him

LILLIAN (CBSDFW.COM) – A Johnson County woman was charged with aggravated assault after allegedly cutting and stabbing a man whom she made sexual advances toward.

Captain Mike Gilbert says a 28-year-old woman and a 25-year-old family friend were drinking heavily and flirting early Tuesday morning. Gilbert said the woman made a sexual advance and the man, who was dating another member of the family, took her up on her offer.

"The victim had been dating another family member and consensually the suspect and the victim were on the verge of becoming intimate and I guess she changed her mind for whatever reason and stabbed him," Gilbert said.

Police arrested the suspect at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. The woman has been charged with aggravated assault. The victim was briefly hospitalized, treated for stab wounds and released.

Gilbert said the suspect's five and six-year-old children were home at the time of the attack. They are now in the care of Child Protective Services.

The suspect has not been identified because of an ongoing CPS investigation.
